Hello, thank you for coming to our website! My name is Dawn Rosevear. I am a third grade teacher at P.S. 11 William T. Harris Elementary.
I studied Psychology and History at Rutgers University. I went on to get my masters in Education with a specialization in Reading and Literacy.
In my 14th year as an educator, I have had the pleasure of teaching in New Jersey, New York, and Italy. I have taught kindergarten through 3rd grade and have worked as an out of classroom Academic Intervention Service Provider in Literacy and Math. I have served as a mentor to new teachers and worked as the Literacy/Math Support Staff member for teachers from Pre-k – 1st grade. I have also worked as a Literacy Consultant for the Children’s Literacy Initiative.
In my secret life as a regular human (not a teacher) I volunteer, watch every video Khan Academy makes, hang out with my family, frequent the museums and libraries, dance around my house like a fool, create messy art projects, and read, read, read!
I live in New Jersey with my husband Paul, our daughter Georgia Lee.
I most recently:
Volunteered here: Pira Pora
Watched this: Human Prehistory
Danced to this: Jump in the Line
Read this: The Southern Reach Triology
Made this: A blanket for our friend’s son
