Checklists and Rubrics

We kicked off our Social Studies unit by finding our location in the world; Google Earth was a blast! Through the months of September and October, students will learn how to locate different items such as continents, hemispheres, countries, and geographic features. In addition, students will look at different types of maps and learn about their structural features. Finally, students will be challenged to locate places on maps using cardinal and intermediate directions.

This year New York released a new Scope and Sequence for Social Studies, I have embedded the third grade section below.
